History
The Penske Porsche RS Spyder LMP2 car made its race debut at the end of the 2005 season. The season had begun with a testing session in Estoril followed by sessions at venues across Europe and America. The success of the 2005 testing and races led to a two-car Penske Motorsports Porsche campaign in the 2006 ALMS season that dominated the LMP2 class.The LMP2 Porsche is powered by a 3.4 litre V-8 with a mechanically-operated throttle system because fly-by-wire is not allowed by the ALMS rules. The Porsche makes around 550 BHP.
The Scalextric Model
A fast endurance car with a low centre-of-gravity. Lights at the front and rear, plus flexible wing mirrors and aerial, make this an exciting car to race. The detailed decoration makes this Scalextric car an attractive addition to any collection. This Digital Plug Ready (DPR) car can be converted for use with the Scalextric Digital range in under sixty seconds using the C8515 Digital Plug. The car features Magnatraction™ and easy change pick-ups.
Scalextric 1/32 cars are compatible with all other 1/32 manufacturers track systems such as Ninco, Carrera, Scx and Fly.
